🍎 Welcome to our Fireworks & Bonfire Night Gallery! 🎆🔥
What a sparkling week it’s been at Trelawnyd Little Learners as we celebrated the excitement of Fireworks and Bonfire Night! The classroom (and even the playground!) has been bursting with colour, creativity, and plenty of hands-on fun as we explored all the sights, sounds, and magic of this dazzling time of year.
We began the week by taking our fireworks art outdoors, using paintbrushes to flick, splat, and swirl bright colours across the tuff tray to create a spectacular fireworks display!
Inside, we worked on our fine motor skills with sparkly glitter patterns, using cotton buds to trace and design shapes that shimmered beautifully in the light. Our bonfire sensory tray was a huge hit too, children used tweezers and scissor pods to scoop, sort, and “pull out” fiery pom poms and pinecones, practising coordination and patience as they played.
Of course, no Bonfire Week would be complete without a treat! We made chocolate sparklers using breadsticks and melted chocolate, a delicious and creative way to celebrate.
Finally, we ended the week with bonfire crafts made from forest school sticks and tissue paper, and a wonderfully messy firework gloop session, full of laughter, texture, and colour as the children discovered just how slippery and melty gloop can be!
