🍎 Welcome to our Weather Gallery! 🌦️🌈
What a wonderfully wild week it’s been as we explored all things weather! From sunshine and rainbows to snowflakes and storms, our classroom has been full of hands-on fun, curiosity, and discovery.
Throughout the week, we read lots of weather themed stories, including our favourite “The Foggy Foggy Forest”, and even had one of our children proudly read it to the group during Playtime with Pip! ☁️📖
Our creative streak continued with lightning clouds made using zig-zag patterns, sunshine play dough with spaghetti rays and rainbow stars, and delicate weather threading to practise fine motor skills. On the chalkboard, the children tackled a symmetry challenge, completing the other halves of weather pictures with impressive concentration!
The week wouldn’t be complete without some icy adventures! The children braved the cold to free pom poms trapped in ice, discussing how to stay warm and protect our hands in chilly weather. And of course, our classroom turned into a rainbow of colour during rainbow sorting, as the children worked together to find every hue and even practised their Welsh colours! 🌈🏴
Our Weather Gallery celebrates a week of curiosity, creativity, and teamwork, where every cloud, drop, and sunbeam helped us learn something new about the wonderful world around us! ☀️🌧️❄️💨
